JavaOne Sunday: First Impressions

Sunday afternoon. After a long trip and total jetlag finally arrived at Union Square, San Francisco.
Downtown is full of visitors, I wonder how many people are visiting JavaOne this year... Anyway here is the first sight of Moscone West where I attended a few NetBeans sessions. (More about that in the next post.)
Inside there were a lot of people doing the registration and the check-in...
But not as many upstairs yet ;)
Howard Street at Moscone Center is closed as it is full of hangout spaces with big Oracle and JavaOne logos everywhere and evening events are happening there as you can see.
In the evening there was the Duke's Choice Awards event at Taylor Street Open Café with dinner and beers, but you couldn't really see/hear much from the back.
Anyway. My first impressions in a nutshell: lots (!) of people, interesting presentations, presenters of various speaking abilities, but in general really professional. Professional organizing, but the wifi/net is extremely poor. And nice weather. :)
